Standing Together for Environmental Justice

September 11, 2026 | St. Joseph Formation Center, Balanga City, Bataan

A meaningful day of sharing, listening, and planning with local residents, Aeta community members, advocates, and partners at our Environmental Justice Workshop in Balanga, Bataan.

Led by the Peoples Development Institute (PDI), together with ML Party-list, Monsignor Hizon Jr. of St. Joseph Cathedral, the LGU of Balanga City, and the Panlalawigang Asosasyon ng mga Aeta sa Bataan (PANABAT), the gathering gave communities a space to share their experiences and talk about the environmental concerns affecting them

.We also took time to assess the situation on the ground, identify priority concerns, and work on plans and concrete next steps. The discussions helped bring different voices together and strengthen coordination among communities and partners. It was more than just a day of discussion.

It was a chance to listen to communities, learn from their experiences, and turn shared concerns into plans for action.

And this is only the beginning. 🌱 The plans made today need to continue through stronger community organizing, sustained partnerships, and collective action to protect our environment, livelihoods, land, and communities.

Let’s keep the conversation going—and turn our plans into action. ✊🌱
