Consolidation meetings and consultation with members were held last October 2015 for the three (3) federations: NMGL (Federation of Farmer/Peasant Organizations in Central Luzon, PASAMAKA-L (Federation of women peasant organizations in Luzon) and BUKAL (Federation of IP organizations in Luzon). The meetings were held in Bulacan, Bataan and Nueva Ecija with the objective of strengthening the regional federations for increased participation in local governance and PO development.

Workshops were conducted to discuss PO accomplishments. Many POs were able to secure resources from LGUs (municipal and barangay), other NGOs and government agencies such as Department of Agriculture, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Public Works and Highways for farmer support, livelihood, seeds, machineries and equipment.

The consolidation meeting in Nueva Ecija coincided with the celebration of Indigenous People’s Day and a short program culminated the activity. The Igorot tribes of Tribal Upland Farmers Association (TUFA) and Casa Real Primary Multipurpose Cooperative (CMPC) and the peasant women of Burac showcased their talents.

Part of the meeting was a review of the Vision-Mission-Goal of the three (3) federations in the light of present day needs and issues. The discussions concluded that the federations’ Vision-Mission-Goals are still relevant to today’s PO needs and concerns.
